So Tuesday at CrossFit we were taught a new move. It is called the Medicine Ball Clean. I was excited for this, but my brain was not. All I can say is that I really, really suck at it!!
The move does not include spinning of the ball or jumping, let's just say my brain and body don't understand that! The harder I tried to do it correct, the more jumping and spinning I did. It was frustrating, but funny at the same time. All I could do was laugh and I am sure everyone who watched me was laughing also...It was hilarious!! I did not give up, and I won't give up! This move is going to take time for me, but I love challenges! I look forward to the day I can post on here that I DID IT!!!
Don't ever give up just because you suck at something!! Keep pushing until you don't suck anymore!!

Keeping a calendar in my home gym keeps me motivated and inspired. Here is a picture of my March calendar of workouts. I am very proud of myself for getting it done. I can feel myself getting stronger and faster by the day.
I hate that the last two days have no workouts on them(it kinda messes up the prettiness of the entire calendar ;)). I had a back tooth extracted and it is still bleeding so I am told not to do any exercise. I am hoping that I can get back to it tomorrow or at least by Saturday. I can feel myself getting fatter as I mope around
I hope for more challenges this coming month and more weight loss. I am aiming for 7-10 pounds to come off. I am planning on adding one or two more days to my CrossFit class schedule and I also have a bunch of Rogue equipment in my shopping cart I plan on buying for my home gym (I just need to hit the purchase button).
I am fitness inspired and I am loving it!!

Getting older sucks. One issue I have had while aging is having tons of issues with foot pain when I run..... I think I FINALLY found a solution to the problem...good SOCKS!! These socks are amazing. Not cheap, but amazing! I can run/walk 3.1 miles with these socks and have ZERO pain. If I wear other socks I have pain within a minute or two. I made a special trip to Dicks tonight with my daughter just to get a couple more pairs =)...

Since the beginning of March I have been doing CrossFit….If I can’t get to the Box, I do a workout at home (except Sundays). I love that Pinterest helps me easily find fun workouts ….This is tonight’s workout ….

My journey to a healthier me started on January 18th 2016.
37 years old, overweight (171pds -the heaviest I have ever been, even when I was 9 months pregnant with my babies), no energy and just VERY unhappy with myself.
It has been a slow start, but I am definitely moving in the right direction. Instead of trying to conquer everything at once, I decided to try little steps at a time. I started January 18th by quitting smoking. (I quit smoking when I was 24 after my mom died from lung cancer, but for some reason I started again in September of 2014)… It is now March 14th and I have ZERO desire to have a smoke. This makes me so happy and I pray that it stays this way.
In February I started really watching what I eat and also started exercising (some day’s I accomplished it and some day’s I did not) When I didn’t eat right or didn’t exercise, I didn’t beat myself up. I just reminded myself that tomorrow is a new day and not to give up this time. I managed to lose 5 pounds the month of February.
I decided that March was going to be the month to really get motivated. I signed myself up for CrossFIt classes (I was terrified). I have been to two classes already and I absolutely LOVE it. When I am not at the box doing CrossFit, I have been home doing it. I have worked out almost everyday this month so far. I am feeling so much better already. Lots more energy!! I actually have been looking forward to my workouts.
I have also been eating Paleo-ish. Lots of vegetables, some meat, some fruit, and trying my hardest to stay away from the wine (I think that has been the hardest thing so far).
I am so excited! I can’t wait to lose weight, feel good, and be a “runner” once again.
I look forward to sharing my journey to a healthier me, with all of you. I plan on sharing progress pictures, the workouts I do, recipes, good days, bad days, and anything else I feel someone in the same situation could benefit from.
